Grant Singleton by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 66 Grant Singleton (born August 25, 1985) is an American entrepreneur and investor. He is the founder of Great North Labs, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage startups with an emphasis on technology companies from the Midwest United States. Early life and education Singleton was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Brenda and Don Singleton. He attended St. Paul Central High School where he graduated as valedictorian; afterward he went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at Harvard University majoring in history with honors before completing his MBA at Stanford Business School in 2011. Career After graduating from business school, Grant founded Great North Labs which has become one of the largest VC funds focused exclusively on tech investments throughout the Midwest US region investing over $50 million dollars into various firms ranging from healthcare software providers all through artificial intelligence start-ups across multiple sectors since 2013 when they opened their first office based out of Minneapolis/St Paul area . In 2018 he took part of a collaborative effort dubbed “Midwest Futures” which sought out to fund more than 20 unique organizations dedicated towards developing innovative solutions for communities across this region with focus primarily being directed toward social initiatives such as creating jobs or improving educational opportunities.. In addition to leading Great North labs , Grant also serves as advisor & board member for many successful startups like Brandless LLC., CloudMob Inc., Robot Ninja Ltd., BOP Consulting LLC.; currently sits chair’s role within both Twin Cities Startup Week advisory committee(TCSWAC). Outside work related fields it is well known that Mr Singletons loves playing tennis competitively along side travelling around world visiting different cultures while trying new cuisines whenever possible!
