Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo (born December 6, 1994) is a Greek professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He stands at 6 ft 11 in tall and plays primarily at the small forward position. In 2017–18 he was named NBA Most Valuable Player after leading his team to an Eastern Conference finals appearance.

Early life and career

Antetokounmpo was born in Athens Greece on December 6, 1994 to Nigerian immigrants Charles and Veronica. He began playing organized basketball as a teenager with Filathlitikos B.C., eventually signing with Spanish club CAI Zaragoza in 2011 before entering the 2013 NBA draft where he was selected 15th overall by the Bucks.

Professional career

During his rookie season with Milwaukee, Antetooukonpo became only the second player ever under 20 years old to average over 12 points per game while shooting above 50 percent from both two-point range and three-point range; Damian Lillard achieved this feat during his 2012–13 rookie year one season earlier than Giannis did it during 2013–14..
