Bryce Aron Max Harper (born October 16, 1992) is an American professional baseball right fielder for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball at the College of Southern Nevada and was drafted by the Washington Nationals with the first overall pick in 2010 MLB Draft. As a rookie with Washington in 2012, Harper won NL Rookie of The Year honors after hitting .270/.340/.477 and 22 home runs.

Harper emerged as one of baseball’s best players in his second season when he hit 24 home runs, stole 11 bases and had a slugging percentage over .500 on his way to being selected to participate in All-Star Game festivities. In 2015 he became the youngest player ever voted into starting lineup for an All Star game winning Home Run Derby that same year.
