Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen (born September 23, 1949) is an American singer-songwriter and musician who has recorded and performed rock music for more than four decades. He is widely known as “The Boss” because of his distinctive vocal delivery, lyrical style, and unmistakable stage presence. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey to a working class family, he rose to fame with the release of his 1973 album Greetings from Asbury Park N.J.. His subsequent albums The Wild: The Innocent & the E Street Shuffle (1973), Born To Run (1975), Darkness on the Edge of Town (1978), The River(1980) , Nebraska(1982) have all earned critical acclaim while topping charts around the world.

Springsteen’s long form works such as 1984’s double album “Born In The USA” propelled him into superstardom worldwide with its hit singles including “Glory Days” and “Dancing In The Dark”. This was followed by 1987’s Tunnel Of Love which spawned hits like “Brilliant Disguise”, 1992’s Human Touch/Lucky Town dual LP set featuring two top 10 songs (“Human Touch,” “Better Days”), 1995’s Greatest Hits compilation that sold over 15 million copies worldwide making it one of the best selling records ever released in US history 1997’S Grammy Award winning acoustic Ghost Of Tom Joad showcasing Bruce transitioning away from pop oriented material back towards folk roots . 2002 saw Springsteen score another massive success with his 9th studio offering We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions where he paid homage to Pete Seeger by playing traditional folksongs backed up by a 35 piece band composed mostly out bluegrass players on classic banjos fiddles etc .. With 2009s Working On Dreams proving yet again that even after 40 years since joining E street Band Bruce continues pushing boundaries both musically lyrically while maintaining timeless appeal throughout generations .
