Brock Purdy

Brock Purdy (born October 10, 1999) is an American football quarterback for the Iowa State Cyclones of the Big 12 Conference. He began his college career in 2017 and was named AP All-America Honorable Mention following the 2019 season when he set a school record with 3,982 passing yards.

High School Career

Purdy attended Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona where he played high school football from 2014 to 2018. During his senior year he passed for 4,405 yards and 55 touchdowns; both were single season records at the time. That same year he also rushed for 1,281 yards on 218 carries with 18 rushing touchdowns which broke another schools record previously held by current NFL QB Kyler Murray who had 17 as a highschooler. He led Perry to three consecutive state championship appearances starting in 2016 and won two of them including one undefeated 15-0 campaign during that span before graduating in 2018.

College Career

In January of 2019 Purdy committed to play college ball at Iowa State University after being heavily recruited by several other Power 5 programs such as TCU and Nebraska among others despite not having any stars next to his name coming out of high school according to 247Sports Composite Rankings system which only ranked him as a 2 star recruit back then albeit eventually rising up all the way up into their Top 250 nationwide list due mainly thanks largely due performances over course four seasons playing there since then so far culminating arguably most notably this past 2020 Fall semester/campaign specifically wherein said standout signal caller helped lead ISU yet again another bowl game appearance while breaking numerous individual program historical offensive statistical categories along way doing same especially ones related directly towards throwing arm explosiveness & effectiveness respectively speaking too given fact how ended up posting what was new single season franchise best mark ever total pass completions (301 overall), attempts (476 total times through air), completion percentage rate wise now standing 67%, yardage totals eclipsing previous benchmark reaching 3900+ thru air plus number touchdown passes thrown hitting 30 figure threshold amount ergo establishing himself quite firmly even moreso already solidified position within team’s positional leadership hierarchy solidly moving forward well into future years ahead indicating lots still come from Brock going further down line here literally figuratively alike simultaneously combined together roundaboutly speaking too!
