Bob Odenkirk

Bob Odenkirk (born October 22, 1962) is an American actor, comedian, writer, director and producer. He is best known for his role as Saul Goodman on the AMC crime drama series Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul.

Odenkirk began performing stand-up comedy in Chicago during the 1980s before being hired as a sketch writer for Saturday Night Live in 1987. After leaving SNL he wrote and performed regularly with the Second City theatre group where he appeared alongside future stars such as Chris Farley and Tim Meadows. He then went on to write for several of Fox’s late night shows including The Dennis Miller Show which earned him two Emmy awards nominations. In 1995 he co-created Mr Show with Bob & David which aired until 1998 on HBO earning critical acclaim along with multiple award nominations from both CableACE Awards and Primetime Emmys.

In recent years Odenkirk has become well known for his portrayal of lawyer Saul Goodman/Jimmy McGill in Breaking Bad (2008–2013) followed by appearing in it’s prequel spin off show Better Call Saul since 2015 which earned him three consecutive Golden Globe Award nominations between 2016 – 2018 amongst other accolades such as Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination; Saturn Award win; Peabody Award win etc.. Asides from acting roles Odenkirk has also directed some episodes of both shows leading him to be nominated twice at Directors Guild Of America Awards . Moreover ,he was credited executive producer credits throughout all five seasons of Breaking Bad plus four seasons so far from Better call saul .
Outside television work ,Odeknik starred opposite Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg in The Other Guys ; played supporting roles films like Nebraska (2013 )and Girlfriend Experience(2016). His more recently released works include Nobody(2021),The Mitchells vs Machines(2021 ),A Futile And Stupid Gesture (2018 )etc .

Apart from these ,Odeknik had written various books : Hollywood Said No! Orphaned Film Scripts Strangely Made Into Movies published backin 2013 followed by A Load Of Hooey published 2014 ..He started podcasting around 2008 titled ‘The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project’ featuring interviews with improvisers ; comedians ; podcasters etc.,which led him releasing another one named ‘Ten Minute Podcast ‘with Scott Aukerman starting 2017 till date…. Lastly ,for further recognition Odeknik received start On Walk Of Fame located Vancouver British Columbia Canada 2019 following induction into Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences 2020
