Arizona Diamondbacks

The Arizona Diamondbacks, often shortened as the D-Backs, are an American professional baseball team based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Diamondbacks compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League West division. They play their home games at Chase Field, formerly known as Bank One Ballpark.

The franchise was founded on March 9th 1998 and began to play in 1999 after being awarded by MLB owners during a unanimous vote on November 1995 with the expansion teams Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Kansas City Royals that same year. Jerry Colangelo was hired as the first president/CEO of operations before Tony La Russa later became manager for four years from 2000 – 2003 leading them to one World Series championship win against New York Yankees in 2001 which is still today regarded by many fans and reporters alike due its historic achievement considering it’s only been 22 years since then they have established themselves within MLB hierarchy becoming perennial contenders for postseason spots every season until present day where Torey Lovullo currently serves managerial duties under general manager Mike Hazen who has worked wonders building up what now looks like a very competitive organization featuring young stars such Zac Gallen & Ketel Marte alongside veterans Eduardo Escobar or David Peralta amongst others totaling around 25 players making their way into roster throughout 2020 regular season while also having some of most affordable tickets prices among all 30 MLB franchises

Though much success came early when winning world series title back 2001 ,the diamond backs have yet to repeat those achievements again losing playoffs multiple times past 15 seasons either 1st round knockout or nlcs falling short each time regardless great performances put forth by notable stars over course these last two decades ranging anywhere old timers Randy Johnson Curt Schilling Luis Gonzalez through modern names Paul Goldschmidt J .D Martinez A .J Pollock establishing diamondsback place baseball history despite not able capture another ring just yet maybe someday near future we can celebrate another major accomplishment achieved this iconic ballclub representing state Arizona proudly !
