Alec Baldwin by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 71 Alec Baldwin (born April 3, 1958) is an American actor, comedian and producer. He was born in Massapequa, New York to Carol Newcomb and Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr., a high school social studies teacher who also worked as the football coach at Long Island’s Alfred G. Berner High School. Baldwin began his acting career on stage with appearances in productions of The Great White Hope and Entertaining Mr Sloane before landing roles in films such as Beetlejuice (1988), Working Girl (1988), The Hunt for Red October (1990) and Glengarry Glen Ross (1992). His breakthrough role came when he starred alongside Kim Basinger in the romantic comedy The Marrying Man (1991). In 1995 he received critical acclaim for his performance opposite Sharon Stone in Casino. In 2003 Baldwin returned to television with a starring role on NBC’s hit show 30 Rock which earned him two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe awards and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards during its run from 2006-2013. During this time period he also appeared frequently on Saturday Night Live portraying Donald Trump among other characters that became popular with viewers due to their comedic timing and satire of current events at the time. From 2013 onwards Baldwin has continued appearing both film roles such as Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation while maintaining frequent guest hosting spots on SNL along with being featured heavily within sketches throughout each episode seasonally since 2018 onward where his impersonations have been regarded by fans as some of best they’ve seen over SNL’s entire history . Aside from his work Alec is well known for speaking out politically often utilizing Twitter or interviews though sometimes sparking controversy due to heated comments made about those deemed adversaries or those whose views conflict against what Alec stands behind personally; namely Democrat party values & initiatives including LGBTQ rights , Women’s Rights , Climate Change Action etc..
