US Intel Reveals Russia’s New Ties with the United Arab Emirates

American spies have found out that Russian agents have convinced the United Arab Emirates to overthrow American and British spy agencies. This has all been revealed in a secret document posted online by U.S intelligence.

U.S. authorities were not willing to say anything about the secret document they saw, but the UAE government denied that they had any links with Russia’s intelligence services. Despite this, U.S. officials worry that [the] UAE may be helping Russia avoid sanctions due to their invasion of Ukraine.

The AP (Associated Press) saw a document that said Russia and the United Arab Emirates were getting closer on March 9. People from the U.S. did not say if the document was true, and the AP could not check if it was real either. However, it looked like other documents released during a recent break in security.

The US Department of Justice is finding out if documents from the Pentagon have been shared on social media. This includes articles about money that America and NATO gave to Ukraine, as well as United States intelligence reports from countries that it’s close with. If these documents are true, then it might not be good for the relationship between the US and its allies.

U.S. officials said that some documents might be changed or included in a plan for misinformation. John Kirby from National Security Council asked people to stay alert as there could be altered information.

The old KGB agency was taken over by the FSB, a Russian security service. According to documents seen by the AP, officials from Russia and UAE met in mid-January and agreed to work together against US and UK Intelligence services. This includes intercepting phone calls or emails for information.

The UAE probably wants to be friends with Russia and not rely on the US for help anymore. It is not known if there was any agreement made between them, but it looks like things that were said by the Russian intelligence agency may have been wrong or misleading.

Recently, American officials have begun to talk more about the growing relations between the UAE and Russia. In March, a U.S Treasury official called Elizabeth Rosenberg said that people from the UAE were helping Russia to get around international sanctions so they could access parts worth over $5 million dollars – like computer chips and military-grade items!

In the past few years, American intelligence experts have suggested that the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and a Russian military force called the Wagner Group may be connected. The Wagner Group is controlled by the government of Russia and it works in Ukraine and Africa. Additionally, in 2020, a U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency figured out that the United Arab Emirates might offer some funds for what the Wagner Group does.

Andreas Krieg, a professor at King’s College in London, said on Monday that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is Russia’s most important partner in both the Middle East and Africa. In 2020, the leader of Russian Secret Services met with leaders from UAE in Dubai for many important meetings.

Russia and the UAE have similar ideas about certain conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa. Since Russia began its war in Ukraine, more Russians are moving to the UAE, making their relationship even stronger. It’s surprising that they would partner up against American and British intelligence agencies.

A person said that Russia probably wants to explain something about the UAE in a different way as compared to the United States. Another separate source told an AP report that America was concerned about how Russian money was being used in the Dubai real estate market.

In October, prosecutors in the US accused two Russian people living in Dubai and other individuals of taking technology belonging to US companies. They also said that these people smuggled millions of barrels of oil and moved around millions of dollars for certain rich Russians who are friends with President Putin.

In court, one of the Russians from Dubai said that it was okay to use a financial institution from UAE because “it is the worst bank in the Emirates.” He also added an expletive by saying that “[this bank] pays to everything.”

On Monday, when asked about the document talking about FSB (a Russian intelligence agency), United Arab Emirates officials answered and said that they had not read any such document and that all the claims were false.

The UAE said that any reports saying they had made a deal to make their security services cooperate with other countries against another one were false. They mentioned the good relationships they have with lots of different countries, and how their aim is to help make international peace and safety.

A secret document was recently leaked. This happened because officials in the UAE had made some big changes to their foreign policy after being targets of attacks from Iran. In 2022, Iran-supported rebels in Yemen launched missiles on Abu Dhabi which killed three people and American troops stationed there responded by firing Patriot missiles.

Recently in the region, the UAE made peace with Iran even though there are still military bases and lots of soldiers with weapons near Abu Dhabi’s air base. Jebel Ali Port, which is near Dubai, is also a very important port that has many visits by US Navy ships from outside of the country.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the rare countries that still has direct flights to Moscow after Russia’s war with Ukraine. As a result, the UAE has become popular for mega yachts and Russian citizens. Even though it looks like the UAE is welcoming them with open arms, not everyone is happy about this situation.

The U.S. and UAE have had changing relations for the past ten years, since Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan made his power official. Recently, the UAE decided to make peace with Israel when President Trump was in charge of America.

After the agreement was made, UAE asked for American’s F-35 fighter jets from President Joe Biden, but they still haven’t received it yet. Meanwhile, UAE also criticized Israel because of the fights that are happening between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from Israel and the Palestinians.
