Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani interviewed in Jan. 6 investigation, AP source says

Rudy Giuliani, former member of Donald Trump’s legal team and advocate for overturning the 2020 presidential election results in crucial states, recently underwent an interview with investigators from the special counsel’s office of the Justice Department, as revealed by an anonymous source familiar with the matter.

The interview was conducted voluntarily and did not take place before a grand jury. The undisclosed questions asked during the interview remain unknown.

This interview signifies the ongoing active investigation led by special counsel Jack Smith, as his team of prosecutors scrutinizes the attempts made by Trump and his associates to invalidate the election results in the weeks leading up to the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.
