— The future isn’t too distant in the sci-fi comedy ”Biosphere,” starring Sterling K. Brown and Mark Duplass as the planet’s last survivors. Catch it in theaters or on demand from IFC this Friday, July 7. John DeFore from The Hollywood Reporter described it as “a mysterious and hilarious pic that really can’t be fully discussed without potential spoilers.” The film marks Mel Elsyn’s directorial debut, who also co-penned the script with Duplass.

— “80 for Brady,” available on Prime Video from Tuesday if you don’t have Paramount+ in your bundle. This movie, based on real-life events, features Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field as a group of best friends, and dedicated Patriots fans, attending the super bowl to witness Tom Brady in action. Although reviews were mixed, many highlighted the performances of the iconic actors. Stephanie Zacherek of Time described it as “brassy, ridiculous, and shameless” but also “irresistible,” while critic Katie Walsh praised the “loose, absurdist” humor of the screenplay. The movie runs for 98 minutes.

— “Return to Seoul,” arriving on Mubi on Friday, July 7, follows Freddie (Park Ji-min), a 25-year-old adoptee who grew up in France and returns to South Korea, her birthplace. The highly praised film by Davy Chou may have gone unnoticed during its cinema run, but ended up on several ‘year’s best’ lists. Richard Lawson from Vanity Fair described it as “a bittersweet collage of a young life in flux.”

MUSIC TO STREAM

— Take a musical journey back in time with Taylor Swift’s re-recording of her second country album, “Speak Now,” her third remake following “Red (Taylor’s Version)” and “Fearless (Taylor’s Version).” “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” features 22 tracks, six of which were originally written but not recorded. Special guests include Fall Out Boy and Hayley Williams of Paramore. Swift shared on social media that she reached out to artists who had significantly influenced her lyricism during that time to feature on the album.

— PJ Harvey’s latest album, created spontaneously over three weeks, is sure to sound refreshing and innovative. “I Inside the Old Year Dying” is Harvey’s 10th studio album and her first since the Grammy-nominated “The Hope Six Demolition Project” in 2016. The album is produced by her long-time collaborators Flood and John Parish. The lead single “A Child’s Question, August,” presents a fusion of folkish elements, evocative imagery, minimalistic instrumentation, and the singer’s soprano.

The George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley documentary arrives on Wednesday, revealing personal archives that include unseen footage and unheard interviews. Directed by Chris Smith, the documentary traces their transition from high school pals to global superstars with iconic songs like “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” and “Young Guns.” George Michael passed away in 2016.

SERIES TO STREAM

— Netflix drops the first part of “The Lincoln Lawyer” season two on Thursday. In the series, based on novels by Michael Connelly, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo plays the role of Mickey Haller, a well-known LA defense attorney. Known for his innovative thinking, Haller often works from the backseat of a Lincoln, driven around the city. The second season follows Haller’s professional comeback post addiction and divorce. This season is based on Connelly’s book “The Fifth Witness.”

— A fresh take on Superman and Lois Lane is coming to your screens. The new animated series, “My Adventures with Superman,” features Jack Quaid as the voice of Superman and Alice Lee as Lois Lane. Premiering on Adult Swim on Thursday, it follows Clark Kent’s dual life as a local newspaper reporter in Metropolis and a covert superhero.

— Bear Grylls is back with a new season of “Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge,” airing on Sunday, July 9. He pushes the boundaries of celebrities like Bradley Cooper, Troy Kotsur, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tatiana Maslany, Rita Ora, Daveed Diggs, and Cynthia Erivo as they navigate the wilderness.

— Bravo introduces “Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake,” a reality show featuring Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan from “The Real Housewives of New York City.” Watch the duo swap their usual luxury for the simpler lifestyle of Benton, Illinois, a small town of fewer than 7,000 inhabitants. Their mission, given by the mayor, is to raise Benton’s spirits. The show premieres on Sunday, July 9, on Bravo, with episodes available the next day on Peacock.
