Officers responding to the scene discovered multiple victims in a nearby parking lot, with one individual pronounced dead on the spot. Among the total 11 victims, one was a minor, the police confirmed.

As of Tuesday morning, no arrests have been made, and it is yet unclear how many individuals might have been involved in the shooting.

ComoFest is the annual Independence Day celebration held in the Como neighborhood of Fort Worth, a traditionally Black community. There’s a tragic precedent with a similar event in 2021 where eight people were injured due to a shooting.
