Hollywood strikes

As actors unite with writers on the picket lines, demanding new agreements with studios and streaming platforms, worldwide Hollywood productions and promotional tours have been indefinitely paused.

The writers’ strike has already forced many television productions, including late-night talk shows, into extended hiatus. Now, with the actors joining in, even big-budget movie projects, some mid-way through production, are closing down. These include the sequel to Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator” starring Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal, and Marvel and Disney’s “Deadpool 3,” featuring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

While the strike might not immediately influence movie premieres scheduled for the upcoming months, since many have finished their primary shoots, films slated for next year could face significant challenges.
