Since then, some stories have been released about some secret messages and words he said before getting fired. The New York Times published a text message on Wednesday that was part of a court case. In this message, Carlson said that a group of Donald Trump’s supporters hitting a protester was not the way ‘white guys’ would handle a fight. Eric Carlson has said that more and more people of color are taking over the world of white people. The New York Times believes this idea is especially relevant now, since some members of Fox’s board found out about it from documents in a legal case filed by Dominion Voting Systems just before they were going to have a trial last month. The news said that something happened which caused Carlson to be fired on April 24th, only a few days after Fox paid Dominion $800 million. Also, in the last week Media Matters for America uncovered some stuff that Carlson said off-air, which was never broadcasted. In one clip, we can hear Carlson making negative comments about Fox Nation’s streaming service. In another clip, he is heard joking with Piers Morgan before an interview, saying someone’s girlfriend was “pretty hot”. Additionally, he talks about how some of his older female fans comment on his looks. Angelo Carusone, the head of Media Matters, wouldn’t say how they got the information. He said that it may be to show that Tucker Carlson was causing an issue. Fox News wouldn’t answer any questions about how the info got out either. Nobody from Tucker or his lawyer replied when asked for comment. Some of the texts written by Carlson have been released, but the one quoted in the Times is still secret. Big Big News and others are trying to make this text public. Recently, The Times reported that a producer received a text from Carlson about something he had seen on video around two weeks prior. It was of a group of Trump supporters beating up what Carlson called an ‘antifa kid’. Carlson mentioned in his statement that the situation looked like there were three people against one and also pointed out that fighting someone like this is not how white men should do it. “I should remember that this kid is loved by somebody somewhere, and if something happened to him it would break that person’s heart. If I don’t care about those things and only focus on his beliefs, wouldn’t I be just like him?” Carlson used to have a popular show on Fox but it was canceled last month. People disagreed with him because he supported some theories that said foreign people are taking over the country instead of people born in the United States. Some people called his views racist, but he denied this accusation. This week, the lawyers of The Times, The AP and National Public Radio wrote a letter to Judge Eric Davis. They asked him to make some court documents that were part of the Dominion case public again, which had been kept secret before. The news organizations also said that even though these documents were already settled in court, it was still very important for people to see them. Davis, the judge in charge of the case, was not interested in looking into a certain part of the case anymore. Earlier, he had chosen someone to investigate if Fox Lawyers hid evidence from the court which they were meant to show. But now that the case is over, Davis has put an end to that investigation.
