Russia Conducts Attacks Across Ukrainian Cities, Resulting in Fires and At Least Two Fatalities

Early Thursday morning saw the sounding of air raid sirens in Kyiv as a large-scale Russian offensive targeted a minimum of six Ukrainian cities, resulting in at least two deaths, multiple fires, and at least 21 wounded individuals.

In the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson, close to the battlefront, a strike on a residential structure resulted in two fatalities and a minimum of five injuries, as reported by the regional Governor Oleksandr Prokudin.

In the capital city of Kyiv, seven individuals were wounded, one of whom is a 9-year-old girl. This was confirmed by the city’s Mayor, Vitalii Klitschko, who also stated that both residential and commercial properties had sustained damage.

Kharkiv’s Slobidskyi district was the recipient of at least six strikes, causing damage to civilian structures, according to the regional Governor, Oleh Syniehubov. The mayor of the city further disclosed that two individuals had been admitted to hospitals as a result.

In Cherkasy, located in central Ukraine, seven people were wounded, and at least one individual was extricated from beneath debris, stated Ihor Klymenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

An industrial area in the western region of Lviv was also targeted, resulting in structural damage and ignition of fires. However, there was no immediate information available regarding casualties, Klymenko added.

In Rivne, a city in the northwestern region of the same name, aerial strikes were confirmed by Regional Governor Vitalii Koval, although details were not immediately forthcoming.
