Assistance has been provided by the FBI in the search for a 13-year-old boy from Wisconsin, James Yoblonski, who has been missing since June. Polygraph tests have been carried out on family members and others by investigators, according to a statement from a local sheriff’s detective.

William Yoblonski, the father of James, reported his son as missing on June 12 from their home located in Reedsburg, a city approximately 45 miles northwest of Madison. A sheriff’s deputy found their family van, deserted in the neighboring town of Sumpter, three hours prior to the boy being reported missing.

James took his father’s mobile phone and the sheriff’s deputies were led to the area around Devil’s Lake State Park by a ping from the phone. Here they discovered an improvised camp that they believe was used by James. Internet search histories on his devices indicated he had been researching methods to travel out of state earlier this year.

Sgt. Drew Bulin, a detective from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, informed WiscNews on Thursday that the FBI became involved in the search about a fortnight ago. Bulin mentioned that FBI investigators have been conducting polygraph tests on family members and potential witnesses.

James’s father, William Yoblonski, has pledged a reward of $10,000 for any information that leads to the discovery of his son.

His plea on Thursday was a heartfelt one. “I just want my son back,” he said.
