‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ named best film of 2023 by New York film critics

“Killers of the Flower Moon” by Martin Scorsese has been honored as the top film of 2023 by the New York Film Critics Circle. This marks the third occasion that Scorsese, a native of New York, has received this prestigious accolade. Previously, he was recognized for “GoodFellas” in 1990 and “The Irishman” in 2019. Alongside this recognition, Lily Gladstone, co-starring with Leonardo DiCaprio in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” was awarded the best actress title by the group.

“Killers of the Flower Moon,” a monumental $200 million production by Apple Studios, is based on David Grann’s nonfiction bestseller and recounts the tragic Osage murders of the 1920s.
