Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been discharged from the hospital following an overnight stay for medical check-ups and monitoring after experiencing a bout of dizziness. Netanyahu, 73, was admitted to Sheba Medical Center on Saturday after feeling mild dizziness. His office confirmed that he left the hospital around midday on Sunday after receiving normal test results and feeling “very good.”

The medical center stated that Netanyahu’s condition was excellent after conducting a series of tests, including cardiovascular examinations. To closely monitor his heart activity, doctors implanted a subcutaneous Holter, a monitoring device placed under the skin. The medical center provided limited information about the device, stating that it was for routine monitoring and a customary precautionary measure.

According to Netanyahu’s office, he had spent the previous day at the Sea of Galilee, a popular vacation destination in northern Israel, where temperatures reached 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) during a severe heatwave. The initial assessment from the tests suggested that Netanyahu was dehydrated.

After being hospitalized, Netanyahu shared a video on social media in which he appeared smiling. He admitted to being out in the sun on Friday without wearing a hat or drinking water and acknowledged that it was not a wise decision.

As per the doctors’ orders, Netanyahu stayed in the hospital overnight for further observation, leading to the rescheduling of his weekly Cabinet meeting from Sunday to Monday.
