Epic Performance: Dolly Parton to rock Country Music Awards

Country star and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Dolly Parton will give her fans a preview from her upcoming rock album during the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards. Parton, who got inducted into the Hall of Fame last year, will sing a song called “World On Fire” from her record “Rock Star”. The awards ceremony will take place on May 11th in Frisco, Texas and it can be viewed on Prime Video or Amazon Music’s channel on Twitch.

Dolly Parton said in her interview with Big Big News that her new album will have 30 songs and it is going to be very special because she has invited lots of famous people to join the project. She also added that this was her first time creating a rock album and she plans on making the one she’s currently working on last for a lifetime.

The ACMs announced some great performers for the awards show, including Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson and Miranda Lambert! HARDY and Wilson are leading nominees this year. Other people who have been nominated for Entertainer of the Year are Morgan Wallen, Cole Swindell, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and last years winner Miranda Lambert!

Dolly Parton is co-hosting for the second year in a row, while Garth Brooks is joining her as co-host for the very first time. Alicia Rancilio from the Associated Press reported more information from Detroit.
