7 Killed in Resort Massacre in Central Mexico

Several armed men went to La Palma resort where lots of people were spending their weekend in Mexico. They started shooting, and unfortunately six adults and a 7-year-old died, while one person got hurt very badly. It’s not clear why this happened.

The attackers did a lot of bad things after they shot people at the spa shop. They destroyed the spa, stole security cameras and ran away. Unfortunately, three women, three men, and a young kid didn’t survive the shooting.

Someone even posted a video on social media of several people running around in swimming suits – some were crying out loud, screaming for help and hugging their children.

In order to catch the attackers, the Mexican police called for backup from the military and sent out helicopters to search for them.

Guanajuato, a city with lots of industries and farming, has been the most dangerous place in Mexico for some time. The Jalisco New Generation drug cartel has been battling with other crime groups, including the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel which might be supported by the Sinaloa cartel.
